A Bit About Me
I started to help out at my local Amateur Dramatics company ‘Billingham Players’ at the ‘Theatre Upstairs’ in January 2019. Here I met some amazing people and was offered the opportunity to appear on stage for the first time. From then I was hooked and realised what I wanted to do with my life.I appeared in more plays with ‘Billingham Players’ and also ‘Middlesbrough Players’ with the simple thought in my head “I wish I had started this years ago!”
After this I started to look at other areas I wanted to pursue and Audio book narration was one I was very keen to try.
So, after a bit of research, a shopping spree on Amazon and converting a cupboard into a basic recording booth (much to my wife’s surprise), I started to audition for my first book. That book led to another, and then another. From there I have been offered many amazing books to narrate, both fiction and non-fiction, and have loved working with some amazingly talented authors. Working together we created some incredible audio books and friendships too.
All the while I have improved my recording booth, the equipment I used and also my skills thanks to a fantastic Narration coaching course by Helen Lloyd.
I’m always passionate about what I do and love to work hard and create the best audio book I can.
